I just realised its doing on both websites so its got to be an error with the out of the box osmax
That was an error on the OSCMAX installation I did a litle bit over a year ago (v2 RC3). I am not sure if I ever notified anyone, if I ever posted about it on the bugtracker, etc, but I do remember having that problem and fixing it myself.
I remember that the "from" on the emails I used to receive was just "someone@somewhere.com" instead of "John Doe <someone@somewhere.com>" ...
Ive ended up removing it and putting my own form in instead.
Would still like to know how to fix it though
The form populates the name and email address in the email "From" field. Why add redundant information to the body when it is already included where it is supposed to be. Is it not doing that for you?
Just hit the reply button in your mail client and it will put their name and email in the To: box...
Edit:
Just tested RC3 and it does like MindTwist says... No name in the from field, just the email address.
This is fixed in RC4 already, so you may want to grab the contact_us.php and contact_us.tpl.php from SVN and try them in your RC3 cart.
