| I went ahead and set the define http and the define https in the configure.php both to 'https://www.mysite.com/'. I hope the https doesn't harm the 'define http' url setting. If there is a reason to change that back to http instead of https I of course need to. I just thought it would point both to the https instead of http. Now if I could just figure out why my site isn't selling merchandise. |

| Big mistake. Set the http back to http. Setting your entire site to https will hurt you with google. So, better to fix the problem than to create another bigger one. I already told you how to fix it. Add a / to the beginning and end of the following lines (yours will already have paths in there, and I bet they are missing one of the / marks, either the beginning or end): PHP Code:

First of all, you should disable all languages except english (since I guess you only want to use english on your store). Since you do not have your categories and products with spanish names and descriptions, when I visit your store I basically see categories with no name and products with one image and no description. Then, andy link I follow from the main (http) page takes me to a bad constructed link like https://www.williamssolar.com//... , and my browser tells me that the web page contains... whatever, don't know how to translate that, but it tells me that some parts of the web site are secure, others are not. Your store is also ugly as hell. Having the default template is ok when you have just installed OSCMAX, but you should have someone create you a personalized template for your store, or at least buy one. Changing the logo on top won't cut it. You should also be using SEO URL, I see no reason not to use it. And, since yours seems to be a pretty new store, why would you be using OSCMAX 1.7 instead of OSCMAX 2.0...? I also see the default OSCMAX welcome message on the main page, but again I guess that has to do with languages, that of course you didn't bother modifying anything besides english, but have not disabled the other languages. To me that looks like a web site that is not yet open for business. |

| Ok Michael I will get the http changed back as of now. I appreciate the help. As to your comments Mindtwist, I will take them with constructive critiscism and will try to build upon what you say is wrong with the site. Believe it or not I needed someone to point out things that are wrong with my site so I would have some ideas as to what to do. Kind of rude way of stating the problems though but stated anyway. Good day. |

| Having people get to your store is not enough. Being the first one in google is not enough. There are many reasons why people might not be purchasing from you, I pointed you a few that seem obvious for me... When I visit your store, it looks like to me as a non functional store. I get a default welcome message, I see a default OSCMAX template (which someone who doesn't know OSCMAX maybe does not know, but I do), I get categories and products with no names at all, and no descriptions. On each product, I just see one image and the price, that's it. I do not know where your visitors are coming from, but if I were you I would want to have a fully functional store for them to see. It is said to have a great store with little visitors, but it is also quite sad to have visitors coming, just to see them go away because your store is not yet finished. |

| Yeah what you see on my website represents many weeks of modifications. To you it probably seems like nothing is done to the canned package but I have spent many many days and nights getting it good-looking as it is. I have no knowledge of programming but I am proud of what I have accomplished so far on the website. I am at the point now where I need to hire someone to jazz it up for me and finish the product. It is true customers with no knowledge of oscmax or any other product would probably think it's a beautiful website and buy from it as soon as the search engines pick it up but I would like to expand on it with someone I can hire and take it from here. I am proud what I have learned and done to the site taking it as far as it is though. |

| He is not being rude, just letting you know that any savvy web user will take one look at the site in it's current condition and will just move on. All the points made are very straightforward, and not meant to be rude. MindTwist is a very helpful member here at osCMax.com. He tells it like it is, and spells out the facts for you. Follow the suggestions and you will be well on your way to creating a store that inspires confidence in your customers.

| Michael that is my intention as you can tell by my response to his post. Only thing I insinuated was that there are more gentle ways to respond to questions about something that is new to someone. I Guess it's because I am 58 years old and pretty straight-forward in speaking also. |

| I didn't mean to be rude, I was just pointing out what to me seem pretty obvious failures that you might not have noticed, like that anyone who has their browser with the spanish language will just run away from your web site in 2 minutes after seeing a non functional/incomplete store. Sorry but english is not my native language, but I do my best... |
