Default can't move admin files to the server

I've worked with osCommerece before and read good things about oscMax and wanted to try it.
A very strange thing happened:
I downloaded the zip file and tried to extract it's contents to a root folder for a web site I'm building and it won't unzip- it crashed the windows unzip program and closes windows explorer. I right-clicked on the zipped program and it opens the contents in a new windows explorer window but I can't move the contents from that window over to my root folder- seems to have a problem with the admin folder. I tried just dragging a little at a time and when I dragged over the admin/backup subfolder with one "index.htm" file in it, the file doesn't show up in my root folder. The "backup folder is there, but the file in it is not. this happens with other folders- all in the admin folder. So basically I can't upload the files to the server because I need to get them somewhere where my ftp program can access them (dreamweaver) and I can't do that. I've never had this happen before. anyone have a clue?
thanks,
R

No problems with the zip file.

Instead of using windows to unzip it, get this free program and use it:
jZip - a free WinZip alternative

If you still have problems when using jzip (I doubt you will), your oscmax zip file may be corrupt. Download a new copy in that case.
