| Hello, After the installation on MAMP Pro (like Xamp but on a Mac) as well on my real domain I'm trying to change the admin password. Problem: When I clicked the edit button, filled the actual password, confirmed it ... it says: "All fields are required. Click save to submit." But there is only a "back" button and no "save" button. I tried a workaround bij adding a new top administrator but I don't receive an email with the password... EDIT: On my domain, I have the same problem. I get a mail when I create a new admin but it just says password --hidden-- And I cannot delete an administrator ... I don't think adding a self-chosen password to the database is that easy .. Does someone have a soltution, please? I'm getting a little bit desperate. Thanks in advance. Grtz, Stoffel Last edited by StoffelXYZ; 05-01-2008 at 03:17 PM. |

| Never had this problem. Is it an unmodified osCMax install? Also, more debug info would be nice... web server, php/mysql version, any mods that you have added, etc

| Hello, 1. I already had it after a clean install, before installing any mods, add-ons,... I just had to change some settings during installation because of the register globals off -error. 2. Webhost: One.com Web hosting - Domain • Hosting • E-mail Dindn't have any problem during testing oscommerce, works fine with Joomla,... 3. Webserver: Apache 4. Database: Mysql version 5.0.32 5. PHP version: 5 Unable to edit admin passwords Add new admin and he got "Password : -hidden-" ?? Why is that ? OSCMAX looks promissing but I already spent a couple of hours because of this bug |

| So, you added the 'register globals' mod, and/or have register globals off? That is the problem. There is an issue with the admin/access levels mod version when using the register globals mod. You will need to update it to make it compatible with register_globals off: osCommerce Community Add-Ons

| Michael, Thanks for the reply! I used the "Register Globals Easy" contribution. I will try to implement the contribution you just suggested. Best regards, Stoffel |
