Default Problem with uploaded OSCmax shop

Hi all,

I have worked for a long time now a my new webshop (old one runs on standard OSC) and i'm very happy with my new webshop but it only runs localy when i upload it to my webhost i get this error

PHP Code:
Parse error:  syntax errorunexpected $end in /home/XX/domains/XX.XX/public_html/index.php on line 179
the strange thing is when i got this error i tried to install a basic pack of OSCmax t find out if it was a problem with my coding but with standard pack there is also this problem only then in functions/database.php very weird.

So i contacted my host and they thought it was a PHP4/5 problem so i checked out my local XAMPP and yes i was still running on PHP4 so used the PHP switch to switch to PHP5 and retested my site localy and yes it was still working as before so again made a screenshot and send it to my webhost en noticed that i was using MYSQL 5 and they are running MYSQL 4 could this be the problem ??

I have searched already on this forum for solutions and have tested with the php_flag register_long_arrays but it still doesn't work.

What else can i try or do ?

Greetings,
Gizmor

you have an error in your index.php on line 179. That is where to start looking.

Most likely you made an edit and are missing a closing } somewhere. Try re-uploading the original unmodified index.php file.

Post line #179 from that file.

well like i said in my first post is that i have tried to install the standard install pack of OSCmax but then i get the same error only then in the file "install/includes/functions/database.php" so its no really a error but maybe a setting in apache or php i think but i cant figure out where, because both work localy and i didn't edit after uploading.
