Error 500 at step 5 on install

Hi,


I'm trying oscmax for the first time. I currently have an osc store that is working on the same server.

When I get to step 5 I get error 500. I've tried deleting .htaccess file, I've also tried creating a new .htaccess file but no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

500 error's are tough to resolve. It is an internal server error of some sort.

Check your error logs to see if there is any more detail there.

That is a mod_security error.

You will need to turn off mod_security on your account, as it is blocking the application from running.

Depending on the version of mod_security, there are different methods to turn it off.
I think this in .htaccess disables it:
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

I put the code in the catalog .htacces file and I got a step further - thank you, works a treat!
