Unhappy Problems in getting SSL working (error 404 shows up)

Hi all,

I've already installed the osCMax package and everything was fine since this morning. Today I started trying to set up the SSL connections. They offer a shared SSL which I activaded for my domain. I obtained the path to the corresponding https directory and I modified the configure.php files accordingly. So everything should work just fine.
The problem comes when I try to set up an account to the shop. The system conects to the corresponding https path but, instead of the expected page, a typical 404 error page shows up. I played a lot with the parameters on the configure.php files, I tried to find a related post, etc.

Has anyone a clue abut the problem and how to fix it?. I hope I wrote all the necessary info here.

Thanks in advance.

Did you actually upload all your php files to the https directory?

no... I've tried my best to seach the solution. I've read dozens of threads regarding SSL stuff. I haven't read about uploading the php files to the https directory...

Now, which php files? those in the root directory or from the whole package?

in which https directory? that corresponding to my domain or that provided by my provider (the shared one)?

thanks !

OK, I've just copied ALL the package to the https directoy of my domain (not that shared by the server). I've modified the configure.php file on the http directory and now it works... but when I access the secure side (it moves to https) the pictures just disappear... I believe I've read that before, but I can't find it any more...

By the way,

wouldn't it be better to install the whole package directly in the https directory?
