Howdy OSCMaxers,

I am kind of new to this OSC thing. I installed a shared certificate through 1and1.com. This was with the help of Michael S. Thank you for your help.

I don’t think I have the code right because the gold lock will show up for about .25 of a second and then go away. I am not getting the mixed secure/not secure warning box. It just goes to the https and loses the lock….? I would think that it has something to do with the images (I haven’t added any with html.)

Help Me Michael-Wan-Kenobi. You’re my only hope.

D.

Does your host run IIS or Apache?

Does the lock show properly in your browser (address bar, bottom corner) ?

If you run on IIS the lock doesn't function correctly with the base install of osCMax. There is a fix somewhere in the osCommerce contributions section.

Auto

Apache

No, that is the problem. No gold lock in the bottom corner

I guess I should have clarified. I was asking if the locks are working properly in your actual browser application, not the contents of a webpage.

It may just be that the lock in the osCMax CP is glitching.

1and1 has their own quirks that you need to customize osCMax to work on. See this thread, it may help you:

This may also help:
SSL is broken

Do a search on 1and1 to see a bunch of people with similar problems...
