how do I test my download links for my products.
and also how do I edit the text index.php page or just tak it out and rplace it with links or banners.

HI rustang,

To test download link, you have to setup the payment module first. I suggest paypal because I'm using it.

If you using paypal, then register for paypal sandbox to try the whole payment process until reach the download link page. Then you can try it. To setup this sandbox paypal, there is a step by step way in documentation.

To change index page, you search for mainpage.php in catalog/includes/languages/english. Change it with your html editor.
