Customer Loyalty & SPPC

I'm currently using both the Customer Loyalty Discount and SPPC. I have two groups (retail & wholesale). Is it possible to have the Loyalty discount available to only the retail group and not the wholesale group? If so then how?

I'm no coder of I would attempt it myself.

In includes/modules/order_total/ot_loyalty_discount.php
function get_cum_order_total()

You want to if-then-else the $cum_order_total = 0; if the customers_group_id is not in your permitted list of those who get the loyalty discount.
