Not quite right - yes there not plug and play compatible - but can be converted - but the time spend on converting one to MAX is not worth it for most people. You could use EZ-Populate to export/import your items. Customer Info can be transfered, however customer history is not easy. Items - there is SO much changed/added - it normally does not work that well. Use EZPopulate for items is the faster way to do it.
