| Now i'm new to Easy Populate, before I would use the osc manager by magnetic one.. Easy populate certainly has some huge benefits to it and so far I LOVE it. I do have one question though. When I download a complete tab-delimited file of the store and add new products I get to the last part (I just do it last) for the date/time the product was entered. At this time all of my products have the same entry date/time as the rest ( I just copied in excel and put the same value in that column all the way down to the last product ). Problem: I have no "new products for january" showing up! I would like to still use and keep the infobox for new products but I really don't know how to edit the easy populate file to allow this to happen. The infobox "New products for..." does show up, just no products under it. Is this because they all have the same date? Do they all need a unique date identified with them? What exactly makes a product active to show up as a new product? I would've guessed as long as a newer date were entered in that column that technically "all" products could be potential new products. Any help on how to revise my EP excel document in the date/time product added field to get this new products showing prods again would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone |

| Is the date you are entering the current month of the current year, you left out that important detail. New Products only shows the current month of the current year. Are you using the correct server date format?

| What I originally did to see the EP format was make one test product right in the actual back-end administration portion of oSCMAX. After adding my test product manually in the admin panel I went to the EasyPopulate option and clicked "Download complete tab-delimited file". When I got that file open that it saved for me I could then see the format in which EasyPopulate worked from. Keeping that same test product in there I basically replicated my real products off of that one products' date. So to answer your question, yeah its using the correct format (or i think) based on the same format that EasyPopulate spit out for me in that file since all I did was take that date/time and copy it all the way down the column for all products. Keep in mind the whole thing works great, not one thing errors or is incorrect anywhere. So its not like it might be an underlying issues anywhere else.. just never activates any product as a "new" one. |

| You also need to set the v_date_avail field to the date and the v_status field to Active

| v_status is set to active and v_date_avail is the same date as v_date_added... they share the same dates/times for both fields. I believe this is what causes the problem for no new products to show since all dates match |

| Ah.. nevermind, fixed it. If you leave the v_date_added and v_date_avail blank, it works great... weird.. but works. |

| Odd indeed. I will have to play with that a bit to see what the issue is...
