Order status changed when paypal is used?

Hi, my client says that the order status changes from the default one selected that says "received", to a different status when a customer pays via paypal. What do I change to make that say received instead of changing? Here is her message to help you understand a bit better hopefully..

"All the statuses I have there can stay and are the way I want them. The problem is that "Received" is supposed to be the default status, but when people pay with PayPal, "Your Order Is Being Cut" is the status that is given to them instead of Received and everyone that pays with PayPal is receiving an order confirmation email from my website that says their order is being cut when it's not being cut. The default status of "Received" will not post when people pay with PayPal, for some reason. If they choose to pay by check, the correct status of "Received" is sent to them. Received should be the status emailed to them regardless of how they pay."

The reason is that paypal IPN needs 2 order status states so you know when the IPN has been received. It is one state when sent to paypal, and another when the IPN is returned.

She needs to configure what these are to be in the paypal module itself:

Set Preparing Order Status
Set the status of prepared orders made with this payment module to this value
Preparing [PayPal IPN]

Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status
Set the status of orders made with this payment module to this value
