    Default Garment Sizes

    Hey all,

Been awhile since I've been around, but Michael, nice job on the new site!

    Got a question:

Starting up my third OSCMax store, but have not used product attraibutes before. This new store is going to sell garments, which all have sizes (i.e. Small, Med, Large, XL, 2XL). I assume I want the size to be a product attribute. I've got that figured out.

Now, I need to keep track of the stock of each of the sizes as well. How can I accomplish this?

Max has QTPro which has stocking by attrib fuction

However I think model number by attrib might be a problem (if required).

There is no one place to find it. It is a feature set that is throughout osCMax.

If you want to track the stock level of that attribute, click the 'Track stock' checkbox when you create an attribute.

Next, you need to set the quantity of the attribute, and you do that by going to the product listing in the admin, click the product that the attribute is assigned to and then click the Stock button that is in the right column. This will allow you to set the stock for the product and its attrubute...

    OK - got it.

Now, does QTPro integrate with EasyPop? In other word, will I be able to update my stock through an EasyPop upload?

I am not sure it works with EP, you may need to updgrade to the latest Easypopulate and then manually enable the feature... Go to the osCommerce contributions site and check out the different easypopulate versions. You may get lucky...

Well, with over 10,000 items, I can't do it manually. Looks like EP sums up the totals for each of the attributes - this won't work.

Looks like I have to have a separate item for each size.
