product attribute to overwrite price

I am working on an online registration for a local bicycle touring company. I have each event as an item with a set price. In the attributes I have one for accomodations as local hotels and the price adds or subtracts accordingly. The client would also like three payment options: one for an initial deposit (where people would be charged only $50), one for paying the remainder (price - $50 deposit) and one for payment in full (if within 14 days of event).

What I'm wondering is if there is a way to set an attribute to overwrite set prices rather than add or subtract from it. For example if I selected hotel a but then initial deposit the charge would be only the $50.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

deposit payment module
This is a module to add deposit payments as a payment option. it can be used for the store owner to charge an initial deposit amount + a final amount payable.
available deposit amounts are: 25%, 50% & 75% these can be changed.
