email reset in osCMax v2 checkout

I am using osCMax v2. I have just noticed that during the Purchase Without Account checkout, the email entry is reset if a different country is chosen. I don't know if this was an issue with v1, 1.5, or 1.7 also or if it is related to the PWA mod.

So, if the checkout page defaults to United States and the customer works his way down the page making entries in the various fields then changes the country to whatever, the email entry disappears. This is no doubt inconvenient and annoying.

I have visited several other sites and the problem appears on them also.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this problem? If not, I will submit a bug report as this is certainly a bug.
