osCMax v2.0, RC2 (latest version)

Is there a way to disable dynamic mopics altogether, so that images act like STOCK oscommerce?

I've read a few threads and tut's but have had no luck.

This is explained in the wiki:

Quote:
Big Images Directory:

The directory inside catalog/images where your big images are stored.

* This is set to images_big by default. If you want to restore image function to match the old standard osCommerce 2.2, simply delete this setting and leave it blank.
Then, just edit the product_info.tpl.php to remove the extra images box.

For that to work for me, I not only had to to disable the "images_big" setting, but also the "thumbs" .

Forgive my ignorance, but where can I find the wiki? -- I didn't see it in the downloads section

Look to the left of this page. In the left column, near the top, under Options, click on osCDox Wiki...

It is not a download. It is a section of this website devoted to documenting osCMax and osCommerce.

This is what you have to do for each product:

1. Delete the setting /images_big and leave it blank.
2. Set the 'Main thumbnail in "Thumbnail images directory" to false.
3. Go to a product and attach the image to the product by browsing for it locally on your computer. Save the product.

This will allow you to have the default oscommerce behavior for all your products. You upload an image for the product via the product setup page. You can then see the image in the shopping cart and the click to enlarge link is there.

There is nothing further on this, as the solution provided is exactly that. It solves the problem.

Default Re: How to disable Dynamic MoPics altogether

Can someone tell me in which files/where I need to change osMax to revert it back to the standard oscommerce image code? I want to do this so I can then modify the code again to use Big Images Modification v1.25 for osCommerce 2.2 MS2 -only because I want to use a totally different pic for the thumb than the bigger pic that pops up when you Click to Enlarge.
I use my thumbs to focus in on just a detail of the product I'm selling because the whole product is often too big to show well in a thumbnail size. I already have 1000s of images that are in .jpg format for both the big and small pic sizes with _bg or _sm on the end of the stock number to tell them apart.
I don't really understand PHP syntax so I need to get the code back to where I can follow instructions to "find this" and "replace it with this" sort of instructions.
