Default problem with sending email to customers

Does anyone else have a problem when sending an email to customers in the admin? I just sent an email to customers and the email didn't look like what it was supposed to look like. The spacing was all off and where I used bullets, they were not aligned with my text. It looked very unprofessional. It looked great in the preview window before I sent it. Any ideas??

Don't send HTML.

Really, it may look fine, but if your goal is to impart information, don't send HTML. Send plain text. Consider this, the default e-mail sent when a customer signs up... plain text... when the complete and order... plain text... You kow, there is a very good reason that it's all in plain text. It works correctly 100% of the time.

What do you mean by send plain text only? Do you mean just type something in the editor and don't change the fonts, the colors, etc.?

Or do you mean that I shouldn't use a web editor and then copy and past the html in for the email?

okay, i just sent plain text in an email and newsletter from the admin. I didn't add anything to it, just text.

It still was not spaced out right. It looks like it doubled some of my single spaces. I am not happy at all with this feature...
