meta tags

i don't think my site is looking at the meta_tags.php

how do i know if it is?

how do i set it up correct?

and how should i edit this file.

It works automatically, nothing needs to be set up. If the file is present and you are using a default template it will work.

If you are using a custom template make sure that meta_tags.php is being called in the main_page.tpl.php file.

i am using a custom template, so what line of code do i need to add in the main_page.tpl.php ?
