    Default PayPal IPN Issues

Can someone please help, I am running into issues trying to get my PayPal IPN module working properly.

In testing mode I am getting a 5302 error from paypal's server. When I go to live mode, I am getting the following error:
The email address for the business is not present in the encrypted blob. Please contact your merchant.

Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

OK I found out why I was getting the error: The email address for the business is not present in the encrypted blob. Please contact your merchant.

Now I am getting the 5302 error on both sites.

Default Paypal issue - think I found out problem

I changed the text displayed so a cusotmer does not see the Paypal "Credit/Debit Card" to just Paypal. We had craft customers selecting this thinking they were paying with a credit/debit card.....doh!

Anyway, the paypal payments are sometimes accepted, sometimes not and this is the error when we go into the orders:

    1146 - Table 'USER_xxxosc.TABLE_PAYPAL_IPN' doesn't exist

    select * from TABLE_PAYPAL_IPN where paypal_ipn_id = '0'

    [TEP STOP]

    Order # 42628
    Order Date & Time 10/14/2005 08:33:20

Does anyone know what else I would need to update to fix this problem?

I found out what is causing this error above, but cannot seem to narrow down a cure. I changed the Paypal displayed name in checkout from Paypal (credit/debit card) to just Paypal as some customers were clicking this instead of Authorize.

When an order is processed, it is dumping the word Paypal into the PAYMENT METHOD FIELD. When in admin and trying to open or edit an order, the above error shows. But if I EDIT order and change payment method from Paypal to Paypal (credit/debit card) the order opens fine.

Does anyone know which file needs to be modified that is trying to call the long name so I can shorten it and get rid of this error?

Thanks for any help you can give me. :P

Default PayPal not working for me, either

I've had a lot of probs with PayPal, too. I think that this module needs looking at. I am going to need to revisit it soon.

Same problem here. After moving from MS2 MAX 1.5.5. to OSMAX 2.0 and migrating the database, orders with Payment method field Paypal (as used in MS@ MAX 1.5.5) are causing TEP error about missing PAYMENT_IPN table

For know (thanks to your posting here),
I have to go through all orders to change the payment PAYMENT METHOD FIELD to Paypal (credit/debit card) and remove the old Paypal module (leaving me with Paypal IPN instead).
