Default Added Small Code for SEO Purposes And Then Could Not Log Into Admin or Website

I've been working with a top notch SEO guy recently to go through and make everything more SEO friendly on my website. One of the things he did was modified the .htaccess file in the public_html folder to include this code:

    #non-www to www start
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.hotasian-dvd-idols\.com$
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.hotasian-dvd-idols.com/$1 [R=301,L]
    #non-www to www end

However once that was done we were not able to log into the admin or website. For some reason this broke the admin login. Also we could not send any emails from the Contact Us or Register New Customers on the website.

Once this code was removed, then everything went back to normal and was able to log in to the admin & website again.

    We Are Stumped??

Any thought would be greatly appreciated!!

Unnecessary complication. If your server/http environment is setup correctly, the www subdomain will remap automatically.

    Hmmm! A special interest website!!

Anyway try this - Redirecting www to non-www Using .htaccess

Also your header image is massive > 500Kb - switch it from a .png to .jpg at 80% - png should only be used when you need transparency.

Also if your SEO gurus have come up with anything that can be integrated back into the core we would appreciate it.
