I have posted a bugtracker report for this issue ... The developers will take a look and see what fix is needed to make Internet Explorer work like a normal browser!

Ps. If you turn off the "excellent" (I am being sarcastic) Tools -> Compatibility View it should work fine.
This is another example of MicroSoft releasing sub-standard software ... The compatability view is meant to make websites using "old" code work in their wonderful browser - whereas in this case it makes websites using "new" code not work in their browser!
You couldn't make this stuff up! So, we will have to find ANOTHER work around for IE to fix this issue.

There's a way to force compatibility mode on (in the header?), so presumably there's a way to force it off. ....And then there was version 9 of a non-standards compliant browser.
