[osCmax v2.5x] Product Options? Image Upload, Custom Text Field?

I am currently doing some testing and research on a couple of shopping cart software to see which I will end up using for a client.

I have been trying to see if there is a way for customers to upload an image on a product page, and a way to implement custom text fields. Is there currently any contributions or modifications that allow for this in osCmax 2.5x, or possibly a older version of osCmax that allows for these modifications or if not can you recommend another shopping cart based software that does have these features?

'Max uses what is called Option Type Feature, which although has the capability, doesn't have custom text or image upload facilities operational. I have concentrated on the custom text feature and have offered a temporary workaround, in another thread. I deliberately left image upload, as it opens a real can of worms and had no immediate use for it. It may be simple to activate, it may not.

The short answer: no, "out of the box"; yes, possibly, with some tweaking.
