some kind of error/bug in oscmax 2.5:

it displays a certain category name 100 times, maybe doesnt read the name and process it correctly?

Without specifics, no way to help you. I have never seen an issue like this in the current 2.5 beta. Details please. How to reproduce? Did you modify any code? Make database changes?

See that... more detail always helps.... so this is an issue with your easypopulate file. Most likely you have violated syntax requirements for easypopulate. Post the file here for review (or the section of it that causes the problem). I have no problems doing ep imports into 2.5 (other than the already reported issues in the bugtracker).

You have 89 categories ... what is the issue ... you should have this many products ...

By the way your dataset has loads of textual errors - special characters etc.

certain categories are duplicated in error, it could be because easy populate has a category name length restriction which might be increased?
even if i take out special characters it still occurs, should i send a file without special characters?
i can also send a file with no special characters and just the categories and products pertaining to the error, should i send it?
also, although oscmax is extremely powerful, it would be an even better contender if it didnt have this error.
it seems to handle this many products and categories with ease, this is the only error.

also, i would pay for this to be fixed in oscmax 2.5.
i will provide a file without special characters and with just the categories causing the error. then fixing it should be easy.

Your problem looks to me like you have added a column after the EOREOR column called VENDOR. You may want to remove that.

**Update**

I ran your EP file on one of my test stores. The problem is : comma's in your category names. EP chokes on them. I did a quick search and replace removing the commas from the category names, and everything imports without any problems. I shortened up a couple of the category names too, as some were too long. Category names are limited to 32 characters.

thats not what is causing it, i can upload a new file, for testing, that will just have the categories in question, without any special characters or the vendor column which seems to be completely ignored by easy populate.
