Red face VS 2.1 Information pages

    HI,
In vs 2.1, with Configuration >> Templates >> Information Pages
I see its easy to create and link a new information page.

However, what if you wanted to get under the hood and do this the hard way > (I want to make more complex changes to this, and need my full HTML editor)

i.e, for the 'shipping and returns' page: where is the actual name of the file ? i see its a database name, but where is the PHP page ?
I thought is was includes/languages/english/shipping_content.php, but when I edit the file, I dont see the data, so obvisouly not that.

i can see here how to add a new static page.
    1) is thsi stil accurate for Vs2.1

    2) where is the 'shipping & returns' content page ?

There are no longer physical files for each page. They are database driven and output via a master page called information.php and its template information.tpl.php.

No the old documentation is no longer accurate for v2.1 so you may need to do some trial and error to get a manual page link to appear in the new information infobox.

Red face Re: VS 2.1 Information pages

Thanks for the quick reply, I though I was going CRAZY
hmm, maybe a good idea, but restricts what we can do here ??

q1) what if I wanted a more 'complex' contents page with an image ? can I still reference an external mytemplate/images jpg ?
q2) what if I wanted to add a new information page which actually opened a new dynamic content box, like a horizontal scrolling menu of a particular category type, i.e all the different lightbulb fitting types, and show a pic of each, and Link to the category search, or link to a new search for an associated database field?

    Cheers
    Rob

There are no restrictions as to placing images via the admin interface. You can do whatever you want via the admin panel. Images, videos, graphics, whatever. Just get the path or url to the image right and it will do what you want.

q2, I don't see why it is not possible via the dynamic pages. Just enter your code in raw-html mode in the editor so it doesn't muck things up, and get your links/src correct and you will be fine. You will have to add any additional javascript to the main template. Play around with it, as it is quite flexible. I have found that turning off the wysiwyg editor helps when adding complex html / embedded php, etc.
