    Question Rebuild Thumbnails after Easypopulate

I did a search and didn't find anything about importing the main image with easypopulate.

I managed to import images and products from another cart using a shopping comparison script with the fields changed to match those of Easypopulate.

When you upload an image Oscmax creates the thumbnails automatically but when you import the images with easypopulate and put them in the large images directory there's no trigger for thumbnail creation.

So to finally get to the point is there a way to rebuild thumbnails ?

    I'm using Oscmax 2.0.15

In the uber-documentation, that few people appear to read...

I'm not sure that we are on the same page here thumbnails auto create when adding products and uploading that way.

However they did not auto create when simply specifiying image.jpg in the easy populate bit for the field "v_products_image"

I don't see anything that is obvious in the documentation about rebuilding thumbnails.

    • Small Image Width :: The pixel width of small images that are displayed in product listings - InfoBoxes (side boxes) in particular.
    • Small Image Height :: The pixel height of small images that are displayed in product listings.
    • Heading Image Width :: The pixel width of heading images displayed in the heading of the center of each page.
    • Heading Image Height :: The pixel height of heading images displayed in the heading of the center of each page.
    • Subcategory Image Width :: The pixel width of subcategory images displayed on main category pages.
    • Subcategory Image Height :: The pixel height of subcategory images displayed on main category pages.
    • Calculate Image Size :: This setting tells osCommerce to calculate image sizes if enabled. This is needed if you want oscommerce to automatically keep your thumbnails proportional. If this is on, it is recommended that you only set one of the values for your image sizes, either width or height, but not both. Leave one of the values blank (Note, blank does not mean 0. If you set a value to 0, it will not display).
    • Image Required :: Enable this to display broken images. Good for development. If you do not want broken images to display, set this to false.
I think the current system I'll create the thumbnails myself and put them in the thumbnails directory

I think you missed the part he was referring to. There is no "Rebuilding Thumbnails" feature in osCmax, which is why there is nothing in the documentation about it.

If you use ep, you have make your own thumbnails, and the page that Ridexbuilder referenced has a step by step on how to do it. Scroll down to the Creating Bulk Thumbnails part.

Planned but not for the upcoming release. It will probably make a point release thereafter.

    D'uh!!!!
    "Creating Bulk thumbnails using Irfanview"
Amazing what a scroll-wheel or PgDn button can do. [I spent a lot of timeand effort automating the resizing of images, with little, nigh zero reward/real appreciation from the community. It would take slightly less amount of resources to take it that stage further]

Hey sorry I thought maybe you would have told me with a yes or no that it doesn't rebuild the thumbnails.

Also I personally would have directed the link to

    Code:
    http://wiki.oscdox.com/images?s[]=thumbnails#creating_bulk_thumbnails_using_irfanview
    and not

    Code:
    http://wiki.oscdox.com/images?s[/URL][]=thumbnails#settings
Ps cut me some slack please I'm new to OSCMAX

Fair enough. The link was actually a direct copy of the result of doing a search for thumbnails in the wiki (too subtle?)

Definitely too subtle because I only looked at the settings bit for the thumbnails and I was hoping this might do the trick if there was some kind of was to force it to calculate on already uploaded images
