Easy Populate problem - No upload

Hi,

For the 1st time I thought I'd give Easy Populate a go, however things didn't go as well as I hoped.

I am on an XP desktop using wamp.

1. I downloaded the file with the first option - Download Complete .csv file to edit

2. Made a couple of test changes in Excel

3. Uploaded with both Normal and Update Only settings at 'Upload and Import EP File'

Both times I got this..

Any help please?

Use the Code buttons on the forum - that's why the text is distorted.

Try OpenOffice instead of Excel - you'll get much more versatility/capability for spreadsheets.

Is IIS/Apache configured for file uploads?
[I never understand the fascination with building on WAMP, when people could just use a free hosting provider for tests, if not a subdomain of their main site... I'm in a minority, again ]

Anyway I looked at the Ep files the error mentions and I tried a few thgings however I still seem to get erors which suggest it can't write to or can't find a temp dir.

As I'm on an XP box I have unticked Read Only in the Properties box on the Categories/temp dir, however when I go back to look at the properties, the thing is ticked again.

Am I on the right track?

I should think so - try logging in with an Administrative account and change permissions.
