I have a new client with a OSC Max store (secondary to a Joomla web site which is my specialty). They used to run a OSC store and after hiring a new developer they were convinced to switch to OSC Max.
These new developers did some terrible work. Judging from what they did on the Joomla site, they were little more than beginners.
They rebuilt their store in OSC MAx without leaving behind a backup of the old store.
The first and foremost problem they showed me is that when trying to create a new product, if the product has an image (which is all of them) they are unable to save the product.
Basically, when an image is selected in the new product screen after clicking on "Preview" they end up with a totally blank page.
Going back returns them on a new product blank entry page.
If the product is created without an image, it works fine, but trying to add an image later produces the same blank page.
For all intent and purposes, their new store is useless.
I installed a fresh OSC MAx on my local server and I am inthe process of switching core files to see if maybe some error they made is causing this. But other than that I don't have many ideas on how to fix it. I saw there are image managers available and I may install one to see if the issue can be bypassed.
Before I did that I'd like to ask the community if this is a frequent issue and what could be causing it. Or at least where I should try looking at the code.
Last time I worked on OSC., OSCMAx, Zen Cart was 3 years ago and I frankly I am not that used to it anymore.
Thank you for the help.
