Had a bit of a headache setting up Free Shipping for orders over a certain amount. For some reason, no shipping fee would apply for orders over xxx but there would be shipping information displayed - not even to say that Free Shipping had been applied.

These are the settings used:

Modules -> Order Total -> Shipping

Free Shipping for orders over xxx

If I enabled this as well: Modules -> Shipping -> Free Shipping, then Free Shipping would be applied and appear for orders over xxx but orders below xxx would allow both the option of Free Shipping and Standard Shipping (which is not what is wanted...customers are bound to choose free shipping)

Eventually after much tinkering, these settings seem to work:

Modules -> Shipping -> Free Shipping
Enabled Free Shipping : 0

Modules -> Order Total -> Shipping
Allow Free Shipping : False
Free Shipping for Order Over: xxx (whatever u want)

Can anyone tell me whether it is supposed to work this way? I was under the impression that only the Order Total -> Shipping module had to be enabled. Anyway hope it helps someone
