The Display of Product Images in Admin

A strange one this:
I don't experience the issue with Linux/Firefox but a couple of others have mentioned to me about it.
Where images are set with only one dimension, in other words only a width or height are set, then the images don't display. Once both are set (which screws up the website pics of course), then the images appear.
It may only be a Vista issue but is unconfirmed. It arises when using both IE and Firefox.

Anyone else seen this? Explanations on a postcard Any workarounds (short of using a 'proper' OS?

Most likely it is not an un-set dimension, but they have set it to zero. That creates a zero dimension or an invisible image.

I have tested vista, win7, ubuntu, xp, and cannot reproduce the issue in any browser.

Thanks Michael,
In both cases (that I know about), the values were cleared i.e. not zero - I have access to the Admin console. Hence my confusion, as the browser should scale appropriately.

I'll maybe get a remote session with one of them, to investigate further.
