    how do you control which products show up on the mainpage?

    right now i have new products showing on the main page but, how do i change this?

    to specific products i want on there?

    stop using the new products module and replace it with the featured products module. Now you have control over what gets placed on the index/mainpage.

    Try in the Wiki - loads of useful information in the "How to" section.

    This is a very common question - perhaps v2.1 should have a configuration setting to allow the users to switch easily between 1) Current Month 2) Date added 3) Random? I know featured products is in v2.1 but this change would be pretty simple. Thoughts?

    If a product hasn't been added in the last month, then it's hardly a new product!
    I change mine to be "Highlighted Products" (random).

    IMO, it would be better to remove New Products from the default (index page) install and replace it with a Featured Products box.
