Article Manager Problem

I am having problems with the Article Manager. I have set up an author, but every time I enter anything into the Topics table in the database, the system crashes. If I enter an article under "Top" (with no Topics set up) the Articles box indicates there is one article, but there is no link to it (it's not included in New Articles, and it's not included in All Articles). I suspected a problem with corruption of the database. I deleted and re-created the database, then uploaded the "Install" folder, set the "configure.php" permissions, and ran the install again. Everything works perfectly now! --Keith
