Product options aren't saving using categories.php

I'm trying out 2.0.3 and when adding product options using the interface on admin/categories.php the options do become active on the product immediately.... and stay that way when I continue to the Preview (of the edited product)... BUT when I complete the product by clicking UPDATE, the options are then removed and the product is left with no options.

Any ideas why the UPDATE to complete the edit is removing the options added in admin/categories/php

Just been through a test, creating colour options whilst editing a product - successful when update was pressed. the options are presented on the webpage and appear in cart when one is selected.
My 'Enhanced Mopics...' Project includes a working copy of the categories.php file (with extras), or grab a hold of the file from the 'Max 2.0.3 svn.
