Default Newsletter Manager Error (setup or server?)

    Hi,

I've been testing out the Newletter Manager on a site I'm working on but I can't get it to work properly. I assume it doesn't have to be setup anywhere (I can't see an option for any settings in admin), the main Email options section has the email type set to Sendmail (the sites is on a Linux server), I've also tried SMTP just to be safe and exactly the same problem.

This is the error I see when I send (obviously email address has my email in and server address has the full path on the server):

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 554 <email address here>: Recipient address rejected: Relay access denied in (server address here)adminincludesclassesemail.php on line 523

    Anybody got any bright ideas?!

    Thanks,

    James

    Relay access denied
    That's your clue.
    In general terms:
The domain name (email address) for your shop owner doesn't match that which is set on your server.
You need to configure the server to allow sending of mail using the shop owner domain name.
    AFAIK.
Hosting plans with installation, configuration, contributions, support and maintenance.

    Hi,

Okay thanks for the quick reply, that would make sense as I've used my email address for the shop for testing purposes and the hosting account owners email will be different.

    Thanks for your help.

    James
