    Question Problem with styles in FCK editor

    Hi all,

    When I edit an newsletter or email in the FCK editor, the hyperlink texts always come out in a tiny black print, instead of the style that I put them in in the editor, and it is not possible to change using the WYSIWYG editor. It only does this with the hyperlinks - everything else looks fine.

    Has anyone else had this problem? It's preventing me from being able to use hyperlinks in a non-ugly way in my emails. I'm using 2.0.3 on a mac - Unplanned Peacock Studio :.

    Talking Re: Problem with styles in FCK editor

    Sounds like you need to change the stylesheet.css entry for "a href" - got an example link to look at?

    hmm, now I'm having major problems with spacing and not being able to unbold too. Everything looks great in the editor but then crappy in the actual email. Any thoughts?

    It's a Mac thang
    What browser are you using - try Firefox, if not already.

    Nope, Firefox doesn't solve any of the problems.

    First problem - when I preview the email, the look has nothing to do with either the styles in the editor or the styles that actually go out in the email.

    Second, and more critical problem - the emails get tons of extra spaces - and I mean at least 30 extra line breaks per email. Any idea what may be causing this?

    I'm just about ready to give up and go use something like Mailchimp, but I really wanted to have it all connected with the website.

    Thats' the newsletter code as it comes fresh from the editor - the only thing I modified was the width of 800. I'm not sure why it is adding all the spaces.

    That Apple-style span fair screwed up the output and there appears to be a lot of unnecessary divs but I'm no expert.
    In source code view, try removing all those extra divs and spans eg:
    Code:
    <table width="800" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="0">
        <div style="margin: 0px; padding: 5px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">
