need more than 10 tracking numbers per shipper

Does anyone have any recommendations on how we can put in as many tracking numbers as we want per order, once the order is shipped?

All I found so far on the main commerce site was limited tracking number contributions, which is dumb because if you have a 100 manufactures on your site and you also want return tracking labels included in the order,then YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME if you are only allowed to have up to 2 tracking numbers per carrier???

Does anyone have a work around for this

let me know what you think about this - duplicating the comments section so that it serves as a purpose for tracking numbers only? even if that was possible, we would still need a way to edit the comments just in case we want to delete a particular tracking number before the customer sees it in their order history.

any thoughts?

What contribution are you using?

Out of curiosity, what do you sell? As a customer if I got 10 different tracking numbers for one order that would be a pain in ass. So, I wonder if I'm missing something, or if your business is really unique?

In the meantime, you can always put the list in the order comments section and then update it. I sent tracking numbers with a note to customers that way for a long time before I switched to batch print with no problems.

What do you think?

yes, i'm a part of a large online business that has manufacturers all over the united states and we ship through ups and fedex. we ship well over 100 products a day. A lot of our products don't all come from the same warehouse, so its imperative that if someone buys a product, that all the option products and attribute products get tracked as well. so far oscmax is kicking a** in giving us what we need.

speaking of tracking john, I made an answer for the multiple tracking numbers! I put together a ups tracking script for the oscommerce "tracking module" contribution and it working well so far with the fedex 2.0 contribution. I'll be posting it here soon so you guys can check it out and tweak it to make it better.
