All product images will be restricted to the one size, either small to keep bandwidth/loading times within reason, or larger to give detail which is detrimental. MoPics, if used with separate images_big & thumbs directories will cater for both. Bear in mind that not everyone has the luxury of high speed internet connections everywhere and a saving in bandwidth can only keep your hosting provider 'sweet'.
[Apologies for my brevity but more explanation is readily available, including with my ongoing modification].

Store ALL full-size images in images_big, ALL thumbnails in thumbs.
Re-instate the thumbs/ directive in the Admin console.
name your images (without reference to colour options)
lspolo1-2940.jpg - the first image to be used
lspolo1-2940_1.jpg - for the various colour options...
lspolo1-2940_2.jpg
lspolo1-2940_3.jpg - and so on.
for both sizes of images, storing full-size images in images_big and thumbnails in thumbs.
I followed your instructions from before. I did upload into the directories via Filezilla
and have checked in there and within my control panel for my hosting company, images are
there in those 2 directories. I am not breaking them up using categories and sub categories
as per your advice. I am only using 1 size for ALL of the images.
I have not gone to your posting yet, I will be able to do that later today when I get off work.
I still don't understand why or how there are hundreds of 1 of the images and not showing the others.
Any thoughts on that? Yes, I will check your posting, I just had a quick moment now.
In which case you have no need to store more than one set of images (in the images directory) and need to clear the directories in Admin. and you will have no image expansion (pointless if they're the same size). My patches will be of no use to you and my short description above should be read.I am only using 1 size for ALL of the images.

We are getting off topic here & not really helping the original poster out. There are advantages & disadvantages for each way of setting up the images/big/thumbs. (If you would like to debate this further, we can open up a new thread). I just thought I would mention what I did, after giving my thoughts on his problem.
Pointless. Have fun - hope you get it sorted OP.

I would suggest that you check the folders to make sure that there are no extra image files that Mopics could possibly grab. Sounds like you did a lot of uploading, so you may somehow have created extra copies of the image files.
Doubt it would help, but you may also want to try clearing your browser's cache & reloading the page.
I would also suggest that you try putting the images into the /images/ directory & setting up the admin & I mentioned in my first post. If that fixes the problem, then you can move forward to big & thumb directories.
I am using a different template for my osCMax store & this caused a problem with Dynamic Mopics loading the big images. This is not your problem, but if you are using a template that did not come with the standard osCMax installation, it may be a place to check.
My last idea would be to reinstall files as you may have a corrupted file, or follow ridexbuilder's thread to updating Mopics.
Please see updated Enhanced Mopics post...
