BTS Template Tutorial, Examples, converting osC template to BTS

Better read the 1st post thoroughly then and check the wiki out. Also see references to HTML templates in the forum.

The one I'm currently using is the type which you would overwrite your standard OSc files with.

As are most of them! Mostly very poorly conceived.

I would like to convert some oscommerce templates to oscMax 2.5. Do these instructions still apply? Does it matter which version the oscommerce template is ? 2.0, 2.2, 2.3, 3.0 etc?

Yes, they do apply in general, but do not take into account the new html tag system present in v2.5.

Take a look at the fallback-html template (main_page.html) to see how to use tags. It makes converting templates from osCommerce format pretty easy. It doesn't matter what version of osCommerce, since you are only taking the styling.

How did you go? I'm trying to get my stubborn old head around what is probably so very easy. The video or image certainly helps me along as well in all I have to learn.

I have someone who has a oscommerce template he likes but I want to use the better oscmax 2.5 with it, so trying to bust my brain doing this.

I and I am sure others would appreciate any tips you have along your way. Good luck with it.
