Default Products Erroneously Out of Stock in RC2

I am running RC2, and am seeing my best selling products going Out of Stock...I had two customer calls today about these products.

    There are hundreds in inventory.

I couldn't find anything in the tracker that seems relevant.

    Appreciate any tips very much.

    Thanks,
    Ken

RC2 is old and unsupported. You should upgrade to RC3.0.1.

That being said you need to provide more detail please. Is the stock amount on osCMax set to a number that matches your actual inventory or does it say 0?

Are you using stock tracking for attributes? If any attributes are out of stock and required, then the product is marked out of stock.

The Out of Stock products (Status=0) have quantity from -207 to 0 to six figures. Not accurate, then again, we don't use them.

OTOH, IN STOCK products have quantity from -98000 to 0 to a few thousand.

So stock level appears to not have any causal effect on this.

I doubt that we are using stock tracking for attributes, b/c I don't know what that is, or how to turn it on. We have a couple of Products with Attributes, but those aren't having this problem.

The two products in question are books, which have no attributes.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Well, if you don't use stock tracking, just turn it off in the admin panel.
