Dynamic Meta Tag Generator or Header Tags SEO V 3.0

Hi all,

I have been using oscmax fro sometime and i am generally happy with the software and site (it is slow though, but that's for another thread). Lately my site has been losing grace with Google so I decided to renew my SEO efforts. Analysis of the meta tags lead me to conclude that whatever the Dynamic Tags Generator is doing it NOT good for my needs so I wanted to revert to the Manual Tags. I am wondering if this is a good idea and if perhaps, somehow, I am not extracting the maximum value from the Dynamic Generator.

Did anyone make the move? is Header Tags SEO V 3.0 the best option out there? - I did not do much research on this topic.

1. Meta tags are the last thing you should worry about. They have such little bearing on your standing in google, it is almost a waste of time to start there. Slipping rankings with google have nothing to do with your meta tags, unless they are spammy (the dynamic generator is not spammy).

It is much more important to have good content, and lots of good inbound links. So, make sure your inbound links to your site and product pages have decent quality, and quantity.

You can have whatever meta tags you want, for whatever keywords you want, but if you don't have other quality sites linking you, you will not get anywhere with google.

Because meta tags are so easily manipulated/abused, google has become much smarter and places very little weight on them. Meta tags are practically irrelevant these days.

Next, to answer your question about the header tags mod, it is easy to install and will work fine but will not get you any more traction with google. I will repeat, good targeted content and inbound links should be your primary focus until you start to climb for your keywords. Without those 2 items, nothing else will matter at all.
