| I imported about 4000 products into Oscmax, using an Easypopulate file I generated from a standard OSc shop. I am accustomed to the 'click to enlarge' button on the other shop, and would be satisfied going that route for now. However, I can't seem to get it to work in OScMax, even after deleting the Big Images and Thumbs paths in the Mopics section. I also tried getting MOpics to work, but am having difficulty. Do all pics need to get dumped into the same /big_images and /thumbs folders? Currently, the products I imported have pics in subfolders, based upon manufacturer. for example, product A: /catalog/images/store/manufacturer1/widget.jpg Should I rearrange this in order to get it to work? Each product only has one picture, and I'm just looking for a way to enlarge it so you can see more details. Would it be easier to make thumbnails of all my pics and go the MOpics route? Thanks in advance. |

| This is documented, both methods, how to get default osC behavior, and how to set up mopics: 22 Dynamic Mopics - osCMax - osCommerce Maximized If you simply follow that guide, you should be fine. Leave everything default, just remove the big images directory... that gets you the standard osC behavior. Works every time. If it isn't working for you, then you have changed the other default settings. Change them back and just remove the big images dir.

| Michael, I read through the tutorial, but am still not having any luck. I tried getting my shop to work using both the classic Osc as well as the MOPics styles, using thumbs and big images. I seem to be stuck between the two. The Max store in question is a copy of my store from another Hosting company. To set it up, I restored the SQL DB and copied over the entire file structure. The only main difference between the two is that on the newer store, I used Easy Populate to add many attributes (4000 products). The products themselves are the same between stores, as are the image paths. In checking the Admin side Mopics settings, they match. Interestingly, I was able to quickly get the classic Osc 'enlarge' option to work on the original shop simply by deleting the /big_images field. However, by duplicating this action on the newer shop, there was no 'enlarge' option. Does using Easy Populate perhaps have something to do with all this? I did not change any files during installation, other than the two configure files and the .htaccess files. Are there any other settings I may be overlooking? Thanks. |

| Something is not right with the settings, but I am not sure what it could be. When using EP, did you specify the images directory for where the images are? Make sure the settings in the new store are identical to the original store.

| In my EP file, the paths point to the location of the images. The directory structure matches both my new and old shops, so I am able to see the product pics although they are showing as thumbs. The first several hundred products have images located in the root images folder, so the EP file just has the image name - ex. product.jpg. Most of my products are located in subfolders by manufacturer, so they are in the EP file as store/manufacturerA/product.jpg. |

| Issue Update: This is bizarre. I just backed up my older shop DB where the 'enlarge' feature is working, and immediately restored it onto my newer shop. Believe it or not, the 'enlarge' link is not showing on the new shop, which leads me to believe it is not a DB setting. I also re-FTP'd the directory structure from the old shop to the new, but that did not help. The only files I skipped were the two configure files, and the .htacess files. Any thoughts? |

| hi minuteman, Did you ever get your mopic working? I too have the same setup as you in that I also have sub-folders for my images and I can not get mopic to look at my images_big folder to get the enlarge images. Could you tell me how you got it working? Thanks bro. |

| the problem is that the tutorial on the site is incorrect for me the instructions dont apply because on stock oscmax these options do not exist. Login to your store admin and click "configuration" then click "dynamic mopics" Set the settings as follows: Title ----Value Big Images Directory----images_big/ Thumbnail Images Directory----thumbs/ Main Thumbnail In Thumb Directory----true Number of Pics per Row----4 Mo Pics Extension----_pic Main Big Pic Extension----_big Mo Pics Thumbnail Image Type---- gif Mo Pics Big Image Type----jpg maybe im missing something f4t |

In my case I was trying to get Mopics to stop working. I had the settings configured properly, but did not have any luck. I ended up restoring an older copy of my DB, and it suddenly worked. Go figure. |
