| Details.. Current Version: osCMax v2.0 RC2 (I know it needs updated---working on that now) As of Jan 2nd, client said she is not receiving emails of orders. Her credit card orders are split into two emails. The emails for both cc orders and regular orders are set to come to her personal account, not her website email address. I put my personal email address in her admin as another option for order emails to come to. I placed a test order and did not receive order notification for either customer or site owner. Question is, where are those emails and how can we retrieve them without contacting customers? Problem.. I am out of town working and will be working night shift, so, this intensifies my inability to help her in a timely manner. |

| Anyone know where I can search for an answer? Idont know where to start.. Im worried if I put in the update that something will go wrong and I will have to go to work and cant get it done correctly, or the order info that we are trying to retrieve will be lost? |

| Before I leave for work, maybe I can add one more question to my list... if I do the upgrade, will it push the emails for the orders that were not received on through? Ive been searching all forums I know of to find some hint of correct terminology and or hints on what to do. .but am hitting a brick wall... |

| The only way you will know where those emails went and what happened to them is to look through the mail server logs and find the email transactions for that email address. Mail servers will tell you when it was sent and whether or not there was an error (and what the error was). If you see nothing in the mail logs for that email address, check the server error logs. Perhaps something changed on the server that is causing the mailer to fail.

| Even though this is a personal email account and not a website email account the emails will still show on the logs? |

| Michael, I have done some recent testing and wanted to ask your opinion on what I have done... I added my personal email address to the send extra order notifications to.. I placed a test order. I got no notification as customer or site owner. I then changed my email address to my yahoo account, got no notification as owner or customer. I then changed my email address to my domain email address and have been receiving the orders since. I then changed her email address to her domain address and then put up a forwarder to her personal account. No emails sent to her personal account. I removed the forwarder and the emails are in her domain email account. I asked her to speak to her isp that they may have filters or blocks to prevent these emails from coming through. She keeps insisting that they say that it is the site program or the server. I have asked my server folks to check to see if there are any settings that prevented the emails to come through.. nothing on that end. Is it in fact the cart where it hasnt been updated to the current files? Or in your opinion, do you feel it is on her end? |

| Hopefully this will be the last of my questions.. I have updated her cart with the security patches for RC2, osCMax-2.0RC2-update051112 patch, is that sufficient enough to keep her cart secure? After updating, I placed another test order and no notification came to my personal email account that I registered with as a customer. (please note that I am doing this for free!) So as long as she is secure, thats as far as I want to go! |
