Default Text Input Option

Ive searched and search but can't find a list of features in OSCMAX v2, can anyone tell me if the "Option_Type" feature has been implemented into OSCMAX v2 yet? I need the ability to accept "TEXT" input with my orders, as they are customized with the persons name. I remember looking into this approx a year ago and someone was working on it, at the time it had a conflict with another contribution.

No, in the vanilla install of osCMax, the option type feature is not available. Apparently it conflicts with some features of QTPro (stock tracking module) and there is no way as of yet to make those two jive. I was looking into this months back because I needed personalization text fields for a client and after a few nights of monkeying with osCMax and the Option Type module, decided to give up and just go with OSCommerce for that particular project.

If you decide to go this route as well, I would suggest installing OSCommerce and then just copying the Option Type module files over the original unmodified files, as the install of that module can be a little time consuming (depending on what other modules you are installing). I shrunk my workload quite a bit doing this.

Thanks for the reply, thats what I was affraid of, just very surprised a work around this issue hasn't been developed as of yet. I would guess that atleast 50% of OSC Users would have a use for the option type feature.

Hi, yes definetly. I tried installing imrpint text v1.3 didn't work, text-feature option- a bunch of errors, nothing is working. I am about to give up on oscmax v2.0 it is worthless without text fields
