Urgent Need Help with USPS

I have 2 selections for USPS Mod on my site and this weekend all of a sudden when a customer selects Priority Mail it switches to express mail on checkout. I spoke to icustomercare at usps and they said it is in my cart. What file could cause this as I have not changed anything in the Usps.php

The only change I made was a few words last week on the checkout_shipping.php in the language file which should not have affected it. Please help with any ideas.

when did your problem start. Mine started on the 16th orders were fine on the 15th

Yes, as far as I can tell (this shipping module is not all that commonly used), the problem looks like it started some time on the 16th. I tried unistalling and then reinstalling the module and now the USPS option does not show up at all at checkout.

Also, I see that this is posted in the 2.0 section whereas I have 1.7. Apparently, that doesn't make a difference.

Thanks for the link. I must have looked over there before it was posted.

It resolved the most urgent problem of choosing express mail over the others (and in my case not showing up at all). I wish I could still customize the verbiage, however, vs. simply having the various options (EXPRESS, PRIORITY, etc) in all caps. Previously, that could be adjusted in the usps.php files.

I hear you...I am attaching the file here for oscmax'ers with the fix however this is only the usps.php file in catalog/includes/modules/shipping and I have also added Kevin Sheltons insurance mod and tweaked it to work for domestic express and priority and international priority only with the new rates. It is not set up for International Express because I am not smart enough So if you don't want that use that part a compare tool and remove it (most places are marked) Instructions included If somebody smart wants to do the international express mail rates and post back it would be COOOOOOOOL Be prepared in case USPS decides to revert back. Also if you do not want the insurance you can get the fixed file by tarheit here

I'm a non-coder running an OSCMax store and would like to update this module in my shop. I'm not sure how to run SQL updates which are in the instructions. If anyone here can assist I'd appreciate it.

Two ways to run an SQL file.

Use phpMyAdmin (from your webhost) select your database - click in the SQL tab - cut'n past the data in the file or upload the file to post it....

OR -

Upload the "*.sql" file to your "backup" directory in OSCMAX - use the ADMIN Backup tool to "restore" the file.

Thanks jpf. As far as I can tell I updated it successfully.

Unfortunately I am still stuck with my original problem. Customers outside the USA are not being shown International First Class Mail as an option by USPS. Only the more expensive International Priority and Express values are being shown, no matter how light the package is. I'm not sure whether this is something software related or whether I need to talk to USPS themselves, or what.

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on this, I'd appreciate them.
