Available payment options related to selected shipping option

This might be an easy one, but I am unable to find any option on this on the admin section.

I would like the available payment options to change depending on the shipping method selected. I see I can have any customer group have different shipping methods and payment methods, but I can not find an easy way to make a payment option disappear if a shipping method is selected.

Like, we have "local pickup" method available, but when this method is selected, I would like the payment options of "cash on delivery" and "paypal" to disappear fr0m the next page.

Any hints...?

Ok, this must be some kind of joke...? It has taken me about 12 hours to post the post before this one. Why? Because I was geting an error page all the time when trying to create a new thread.

The solution?? Change "f r o m" (with no spaces) to "fr0m". So WTF?? Create new thread, paste the text on the previous post, change "fr0m" back to "f r o m", and hit submit...

Ok, I can't even post this reply unless I put spaces on the cursed word. "f r o m" is a banned word or something? Weirdest bug ever?

Your second post makes no sense to me at all. How about posting the error you get when trying to post.

Next, no there is no way to change the payment method based on shipping method. You will have to custom code those changes into your store.

Hi Michael,
I think I broke something

After doing the following post, I tried something on the board before hitting submit... And the next thing I know is that nothing was answering, and I was only geting database errors everywhere, on oscmax.com and oscmax.com/forums

The site was down briefly as the server was rebooted (takes about 3 minutes to cycle up).

As for the rest, I am testing now...

Ok, I did a couple of tests. First, I ran a test with the word 'from' in quick reply. It works fine.

Then I did it in the basic 'edit' view. Also worked.

Advanced edit caused a page not found error. Looks like a mod_rewrite problem to me. I am investigating.

Ok... I hope the screenshots show you what is happening. I can confirm you that it is doing it again right now, if I put fr0m on this post, it won't let me submit it.

The first thing that crossed my mind was "I can not believe that with so many threads noone has ever said fr0m"... So I want to do a "search" of the word, and that was when the site stopped responding.

I found and fixed the issue... It was a security rule on the server. It was new, that is why it has not caused many problems. It is now gone

Use the word from to your heart's content!


To test it, I posted this from the advanced view, and previewed it. All working fine now.
