Please Help With Shipping Mod

I am new to osCMax and fairly new to oscommerce. I am putting together a e-shop for giftbaskets. The baskets will be shipped separately so each basket will need to have fedex shipping charges determined separately (taxes too).

I also need the ability for the customer to enter multiple addresses to ship to different people.

If osCMax v2.x has these abilities, please someone help me find them and learn how they work. If I need to customize the code, please please give me a path to follow and I'll gladly follow it. I'm here to learn and to hopefully become as useful to someone as I am hoping someone can be helpful to me now....
