| Hi peeps: I am asking opinions and advice on what Newsletter Mod to use with oscmax. The Current one I can not add new email addresses, It does not meet the unsubscribe criteria for spam, Can't import or export mail lists for your own use or Vertical Response, constant contact or other email programs etc. I see some mods when I search that cover some of this but before I go installing one after the other to see what is best can someone recommend one that covers the above as well as replaces the subscribe in the create_account.php. Preferably one you have used. I believe that good feedback can help everyone. Thank you in advance for your suggestions. Blayne |

| I have not seen any worth using. I recommend a real mailing list program that is specifically built for that task. There are a couple of good free ones out there, phpList comes to mind. You can fairly easily integrate its form into osCMax I think.

| Michael, Thank you for your reply. I had tried phplist based on the contribution I found here but have not got it to work yet. Customer.php is a bit different in oscmax as well as create_account and I may just be merging the code wrong. Have you gotten phplist to work with osCMAX? |

| Not directly integrated. I have put the phplist form in the checkout page, and also made a side box with the mailing list signup. Just a simple drop in phplist form per their instructions. Then phplist handles the signups...not osCMax.

| Cool, Any chance of posting the code for both the checkout & sidebox? Code: put the phplist form in the checkout page Are you running phpList in a seperate database? This is exactly what I need.

| I have it integrated now with my site so it is taken care of on the create account page and also available on the home page. I used osCommerce: PHPList for OsCommerce However you will need to use a beyond compare, winmerge or other compare tool to use that contribution since you can not just replace code with what it says but just add whats missing especially in customer.php etc. |
