Auth Only, Capture when shipped..

I have been searching the forums to find if this capability exists? I currently have authorize.net but maybe switching to Payflow Pro ( or whatever paypal is now calling the products) I have been experiencing some lag time between orders being placed and actual shipment. I would like to simply authorize card and bill when the order is shipped. I process a large number of orders so I am hoping there is a way to do this auto-magically when an order status is updated.

Any help of suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I don't think it is fair to customers to have the money out of their hands if the product has not been shipped.

Just edit the configuration of authorize.net module in your admin panel and chage the following:

Processing Mode
Credit card processing mode

From Authorize and Capture to Authorize.

Done.

Then you have to manually bill it. There is no way I know of that automates this. You either do it automatically during checkout or manually.
