| Compare your template to a STOCK MS2 version and mark/comment ALL CHANGES. If the only changes are graphics and CSS - copy the graphics over and merge the CSS. Done! If there is alot of PHP changes - look in the same file name or the one with .tpl.php . If in /fallback/*.tpl.php - copy the file to your template directory and only modify that file. Merge in the changed. Note: Using a file compare tool HELP ALOT! |

| Winmerge (free) or my fave Beyond Compare (has 30 day trial - but still inexpensive). No need to "make" main_page.tpl.php from index.php. Most of your main page content can be edited from within the admin interface. See the fully fuctioning demo at www.configurethat.com\demo\admin If your using an WYSIWYG editor to customize your site then copy the files you want to edit from the fallback template to your LIVE template directory. If need be drop me a line. |
