form checking javascript help?

Hi -

Trying to get the UK postcode validation contribution working ... osCommerce: UK Postcode Validation

I've modified form_check.js.php and uploaded, but those edits didn't kick in. Then looking at create_account and address_book_process, it appears this script is not used... am I missing something? Any suggestions?

yes, clearly I am missing something (and now I'm talking to myself...not a good sign) -

In testing to see what was going on, I deleted form_check.js.php from /includes - and I was still able to create an account! So it is not being called from create_account.php - shouldn't it be called?? Can anyone explain?

You probably have page caching turned on. No changes will take effect until you clear the cache.

Thanks for the reply - I checked the cache settings and all are off. Any other ideas?

Figured this one out...
osCMax uses a further directory for javascripts - catalog/includes/javascript/

form_check.js.php still exists in the /includes/ directory even though it is not used (I've renamed it there and nothing has failed so far for not being able to find it). So all I had to do was apply the updates to the correct script and no probs...

Oh, yes, I missed that. I assumed you were working in the includes/javascript directory. Sometimes I see what I want to see... sorry.
